ANNUAL CYCLING EVENT RAISES ALMOST 200 MILLION EUROS FOR CANCER RESEARCH
Dr. h.c. Peter Kapitein is a Patient Advocate for Inspire2Live. He initiated the famous fundraising event Alpe d’HuZes that now raises almost 200 million for cancer research. The Alpe d’HuZes is an annual cycling event with tens of thousands of people raising money through crowdfunding. In recognition of his work, Kapitein was awarded a doctorate from the Free University in Amsterdam in 2012. Since 2005, he has been living with lymphoma and his life serves as a testament that cancer can be conquered and still result in a fulfilling life.  List of ambassadors below:
