ANNUAL CYCLING EVENT RAISES ALMOST 200 MILLION EUROS FOR CANCER RESEARCH
Dr. h.c. Peter Kapitein is a Patient Advocate for Inspire2Live. He initiated the famous fundraising event Alpe d’HuZes that now raises almost 200 million for cancer research. The Alpe d’HuZes is an annual cycling event with tens of thousands of people raising money through crowdfunding. In recognition of his work, Kapitein was awarded a doctorate from the Free University in Amsterdam in 2012. Since 2005, he has been living with lymphoma and his life serves as a testament that cancer can be conquered and still result in a fulfilling life.  List of ambassadors below:

 Dorene Rettas' article in the March 7, 2023 issue of Cyber Security Tribe sheds light on the experiences of 11 women in the field of cybersecurity and how they overcame the barriers they faced. Published just before International Women's Day, which has been celebrated globally since 1911 to recognize the accomplishments of women, the article highlights the importance of diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI). 

• [Sanford's] journey as a single parent taught [her] the importance of resilience and perseverance while working in male-dominated industries.  Breaking new ground, [Sanford] was proud to be the first Hispanic student accepted into the dual LL.M. program at Georgetown.  She successfully completed [her] dual LL.M in Taxation and International & Comparative Law, while balancing the demands of a full-time lawyer and starting a family. Early on, becoming a single parent of two toddlers, [Sanford] learned the importance of building relationships with friends and colleagues to provide essential support. These relationships became a strong and valuable network, both professionally and personally, and have remained with [her] throughout the years.   
• As a parent, [Sanford] had to navigate the difficulties and responsibilities of raising two young children alone, while simultaneously representing large corporations internationally. [She] instilled the values of determination, perseverance, and a strong work ethic, as well as a love for education to [her] children, who are both successful in their own fields of study and have an unwavering commitment to making an impact.
